The Creative Process
I've always known from an early age that wildlife and nature encompass my everyday life. As a creative artist I have learned to see what others may not or miss, and I feel the need and desire to put it down in some way and share it. I have experimented with different mediums and found oils to be my favorite. Painting detail in fur and feathers can bring so much life into a painting. Every painting is a learning process and I want to continue learning everyday until I can no longer pickup a paintbrush.
Nature and inspiration surround us all. I have found that working from photographs, taken by myself or my photographer son are most helpful in maintaining the accuracy of my subjects. I will put together 4 to 5 photographs to create a particular composition and to maintain a realistic effect.
